# What if I want to renew my loan with PADS, will I need to go to the notary again?

The need for passing by a notary may vary depending on the loan's nature. Typically, if you decide to renew the loan without increasing the loan amount, a visit to the notary may not be required. However, if the renewed loan amount exceeds the original registration, then notarization may be necessary.
